ITV-owned production house Shiver has been renamed as Multistory Media.

The outfit is run by Tim Carter who joined the label 18 months ago and during that time, with Group Creative Director Ana de Moraes, has focused the company on securing commissions for new and returning formats. This has included Piers Morgan Life Stories; The Comedy Years; All Star Musicals; Paul O’Grady: For The Love of Dogs  (ITV); Britain’s Best Junior Doctors (BBC 2), Come Dine with Me; Embarrassing Pets (Channel 4), Red Arrows (Channel 5) and David Jason’s Planes, Trains and Automobiles (UKTV) with new commissions to be announced shortly.

Carter has also strengthened the executive team, housed from bases in London, Manchester and Cardiff, with the appointment of de Moraes (First Dates, The Choir) to lead creative growth, focusing on returning formats. Reporting to de Moraes are Ceri Aston (Dragons Den) as Creative Director MultiStory North, and Head of Factual Entertainment Simone Haywood (Tattoo Fixers, LegoMasters, Celebs Go Dating). They join the rest of the senior creative team: Head of Documentaries Mark Rubens (Peston), Mike Blair Head of Current Affairs (Tonight, The Martin Lewis Money Show), Richard Hastings (All Star Musicals) who heads up Entertainment and Executive Producer Mark Scantlebury (For the Love of Dogs).

MultiStory Media has also diversified into drama. Wild Bill, in association with 42 and Anonymous Content, is the label’s debut scripted commission which stars and is executive produced by actor Rob Lowe and will be on ITV in June.

Tim Carter, Managing Director MultiStory Media said: “Multistory Media describes the label today – a diverse team of passionate story-tellers and entertainers, creating shows across the country for every broadcaster, and in every genre.

“And what a remarkable range of genres we’re telling our stories in, from politics and current affairs, through documentaries, factual entertainment, entertainment, and all the way to high-end drama.”

The company is behind new and returning series including Tonight,  Martin Lewis,  the ‘Up’ series and Come Dine With Me.
