ITV PLC has released a statement to its shareholders confirming that it is “actively exploring” an acquisition of superindie, All3Media.

The statement was made in response to media speculation on a possible buy out by ITV after a report in Reuters.

ITV said that in regards to a deal with All3Media owners, Warner Bros Discovery and Liberty Global, “there can be no certainty as to whether any transaction will take place, nor as to the terms of any such transaction.”

“A further announcement will be made if and when appropriate.”

All3Media currently houses 50 production companies and labels across the UK, US, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and New Zealand that produce more than 4,000 hours annually.

Group companies include Studio Lambert, RAW, Silverback and Company Pictures along with distribution arm, All3Media International.
