ITN Productions has appointed Nicki Purcell as its new Head of Production.

In her new position Purcell will work closely with ITN Productions’ teams to provide “logistical, commercial, and strategic direction”, and will report directly to Ian Rumsey, Managing Director of Television.

ITN Productions is responsible for shows including the topical daily debate show Jeremy Vine, crime documentaries The Killing of James Bulger and The Disappearance of Shannon Matthews for Channel 5, BAFTA award-winning For Sama, a co-production with Channel 4 News for Channel 4 and PBS Frontline, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey for ITV & ABC, Morecambe and Wise: The Lost Tapes for ITV, History 101 for Netflix and Doctors of War for Channel 5.

Purcell joins ITN Productions from Crackit Productions where she was Head of Production, and responsible for the leadership of the production management team. Since joining Crackit in 2013, shw has worked across all aspects of the business, from development to delivery to international distribution, managing an extensive catalogue and slate.

She has also held a number of senior production roles in a career spanning over 25 years working with a range of production houses.
