ITN has broadened the remit of two members of its senior leadership team.

Ian Rumsey has been appointed as Managing Director of Content at ITN, expanding his editorial responsibility across ITN’s wider business; while Tami Hoffman will take on digital innovation, including in AI, as Director of News Distribution and Commercial Innovation at ITN.

As Managing Director of Content, Rumsey will continue to head up ITN Productions, and also support ITN newsrooms on major editorial issues working with, and stepping in for, ITN CEO Rachel Corp when required.

Tami Hoffman will continue to be responsible for ITN’s news production and archive teams, in addition to digital innovation, where she will explore new commercial opportunities such as FAST channels and AI.

Rachel Corp, CEO of ITN said: “Ian and Tami have been integral to ITN’s commercial success in recent years. They embody the best of ITN – expertise, talent and innovation rooted in journalism, and these new remits reflect the crucial role they already play in harnessing creative collaboration across our business.

“I’m delighted to have someone of Ian’s calibre who is able to take on this important, expanded remit. ITN Productions has gone from strength to strength under Ian’s leadership with a raft of commissions from UK and international broadcasters and streamers, and he is highly regarded by our clients as well as industry peers. Ian will continue to be responsible for all of ITN Productions output alongside his new area of responsibility and I know his many years of experience at the cutting edge of factual production, his editorial judgement and his leadership will be a huge asset to our teams.

“Tami has also been incredibly successful since joining ITN. Her commercial acumen, editorial judgment, strategic vision, and dedication to keeping ITN at the forefront of technological advancements are evident to anyone who has worked with her. Simply put, she is a force of nature, and I am confident she will be highly successful in this role.”

Ian Rumsey said: “Having spent half my career in news and the other half in documentaries, this expanded role makes perfect sense – and I’m delighted to be involved in both sides of the ITN business.”

Tami Hoffman said: “ITN is committed to ensuring that accurate, impartial news reaches the widest possible audience across broadcast and digital channels. I’m delighted to be taking on a role that brings together the skills of ITN’s news and production teams to help future proof the company for the challenges ahead.”
