Home Post Production has acquired unscripted and natural history specialist, Picture Shop Bristol.

The Bristol facility will operate under the Home Post Production umbrella from its Grade II listed building in the heart of Clifton. All 30 creative, technical, and production employees are being retained. The senior leadership team of Lauren Ellis Jones, MD, James Bennett, Director of Technical Operations, and Tana Beynon, Sales Director, will continue to lead the Bristol operation and drive its next phase of growth.

The acquisition of Picture Shop Bristol from Streamland Media was led by Home Post Production’s parent company, Northstar Broadcast Services. Chief Executive David Jackson will oversee Home’s strategic development across the UK within the Northstar portfolio.

The Bristol facility offering includes Avid Media Composer for inhouse and remote offline editing, multipurpose DaVinci Resolve or Avid Symphony online suites, Digital Vision Nucoda grading suites, and Pro Tools audio suites including one fully Dolby Atmos, offering voiceover, tracklay, and mastering services. All finishing suites are equipped with 4K HDR monitoring.

Recent flagship projects for the team include Our Oceans (Netflix), Underdogs (Nat Geo/Disney), The Dog House (Channel 4), George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces (Channel 4) and Moominvalley (Sky Kids).

Recent industry recognition includes grading for Our Great National Parks (HPA 2025), Picture Enhancement for Our Oceans (RTS Crafts 2026), and Sound for Secrets from a Forest (Wildscreen Panda Award)

“Our strategy is to build a genuinely regional post production network that reflects where great programmes are made, and to deliver premium work through trusted, long-term relationship with our clients,” said David Jackson, Chief Executive, Northstar Broadcast Services. “Bristol has one of the UK’s most vibrant factual and natural history sectors, and Picture Shop Bristol has built an outstanding reputation within it. Bringing the businesses together strengthens what Home Post Production can offer to production companies across the country.”

“From day one, this business has been about people,” says Lauren Ellis Jones, MD of Home Post Production, Bristol. “Our reputation has been built on the talent, generosity, and sheer craft of our team, and we’re incredibly proud of our long-standing client relationships.

“Joining Home is a natural next step: not a change in who we are, but a strengthening of what we’ve already created together. It gives us greater support and opportunity to grow, while protecting the collaborative, creatively ambitious culture that makes this place special.”

Picture Shop continues to operate within the UK through both its Dailies and Managed Service Contract divisions.
