Northern Irish indie Green Inc. has been commissioned by BBC Northern Ireland to produce original factual entertainment format ‘Tricked Out Tractors’.

The 3 x 30’ series has put together a team of experts specialising in areas such as bodywork, electronics, paintwork and restoration, who set about transforming – or ‘tricking out’ – people’s prized tractors.

The programme will feature different types of modification to the humble agricultural vehicle. From restoring classic vintage tractors to their former glory, to pimped out machines featuring state of the art hi-fi, wi-fi and the latest over the top creature comforts, to full-blown, big engine rebuilds of monster tractors.

‘Tricked Out Tractors’ was commissioned by BBC Northern Ireland. Series Producer for Green Inc. is Zoe McGivern, Executive Producer is Stephen Stewart and Executive Producer for BBC Northern Ireland is Karen Kirby.

Stephen Stewart, MD of Green Inc., said: “Tractors are hugely popular, as proven by millions and millions of hits for tractor racing, pulling and restoring on YouTube. And interestingly, very few of the tractor owners that we have met are farmers. This is simply one of those modern hobbies, for a surprisingly young and large number of very enthusiastic people. We are delighted to be delving into this world with our original format ‘Tricked Out Tractors’ for BBC Northern Ireland, and we are sure the show will resonate strongly with viewers nationwide.”

Karen Kirby, BBC Northern Ireland Executive Producer, said: "The enthusiasm shown by the experts, and the tractor-owners for this process is infectious so we are looking forward to seeing this unique passion for restoration and renovation being brought to life for our audiences in this new series."
