All3Media-owned Great Scott Media has made two senior hires.

Nadia Afiari has joined the team as Head of Production and Sonia Sohal becomes Head of Development at Great Scott Media, which is led by Leon Wilson and Ed Sleeman.  The pair partnered with All3Media last year to launch the new indie focusing on entertainment, comedy entertainment, factual entertainment and scripted comedy shows.

Afiari was most recently Production Executive at South Shore and she has also worked with Definitely and Talkback.  Her credits include reality and factual entertainment hits Too Hot to Handle (Netflix), Harry’s Heroes and Don’t Rock The Boat (ITV) as well as The Hairy Bikers Go North (BBC2).

Sohal has worked with RAW, Studio Ramsay and Lion TV with development credits that include Fantastical Factory of Curious Craft (C4), Joanna Lumley’s India (ITV), Child Genius (C4) and Uncharted (Nat Geo).  Her production credits range from Desi Rascals (SKY), Dragons’ Den (BBC) through to Child Genius (C4).

The news comes as Great Scott Media moves into new offices in Aldgate having been based at All3Media’s headquarters since launching in January 2020.  The company has three new series currently in production and a number of other projects in late-stage development.

Leon and Ed said, “Welcome to Nadia and Sonia – whose appointments speak to Great Scott’s ambition to produce big scale entertainment, factual entertainment and reality. Nadia will be instrumental in bringing our three series currently in production to fruition and Sonia will be in charge of creating new and fresh formats, focussing on both broadcasters and streaming platforms in the UK and global markets. Having the top team now in place at Great Scott makes us very excited for the future.”
