Gravity Media has hired Suzanne Baker-Downes as Business Manager for its Post-Production facility, Gravity House in Soho.

Part of Gravity Media, Gravity House houses editing and online multi-use suites. The 40 spaces can be used for offline editing, VFX, production offices, meetings or screenings.

Baker-Downes has previously held roles at companies including Urban Myth Films, Mammoth Screen Films and Getty Images. At Gravity Media she will drive post-production opportunities at Gravity House as well as the technology solutions for Film and Drama clients.

Working in collaboration with Rebecca Martin, the Post-Production Facilities Manager, Baker-Downes will be responsible for room scheduling, acting as the main point of contact for all clients and showcasing Gravity Media’s Equipment Rental, Remote Edit Solutions and Facility Rental to feature film, TV, and drama customers.

Baker-Downes worked at Mad Editing for eight years. Whilst at Mad Editing, she was initially appointed as their Producer/Marketing Director. During her time, her managerial role was expanded to manage the daily running of the company and manage the sale of Mad Editing. She was responsible for all marketing collateral and bought on board additional Avid offline equipment via a joint agreement with a production company.

Prior to this, she was Director of Marketing and Sales at Evolutions Television, where she led the marketing and sales strategy including a campaign around Evolutions being ranked 19th in Televisual’s “Top 50 Post Houses”.

Gravity House has housed post teams from shows including Silo, The Crown, and The Banshees of Inisherin.
