Penny Lane Entertainment is partnering with Gary Barlow to co-produce a new music and entertainment show for BBC One.
Gary Barlow is bringing together a top group of artists and musicians for I’m With The Band (1×60’, working title). The show’s format sees a supergroup of artists come together and perform classic songs from past and present, along with some “laid-back chat.”
The band, led by Gary Barlow on keys and vocals, comprises: Jamie Cullum (piano and vocals), James Bay (guitar and vocals), Mica Paris (vocals), Guy Chambers (keyboards and musical director), Tom Fletcher (guitar and vocals), Danya Fisher (bass) and Donavan Hepburn (drums).
Barlow also welcomes special guests to the show as Anne-Marie, with DJ and Producer Nathan Dawe and rapper MoStack, and Craig David drop by and collaborate with the band, talk about their careers and musical heroes, and perform new versions of classic tracks.
Gary Barlow said: “A key reason for me doing this show for BBC One was that I just wanted to get in a room with a load of people I love and respect and play music. We’re aiming to give artists a platform and place where they can perform and have fun. It’s simply a musical treat for everyone who loves watching the best musicians performing great songs from any genre and any decade.”

I’m With The Band (w/t) is a Penny Lane Entertainment and Gary Barlow production. The Director is Chris Howe and Executive Producers are Mark Sidaway and Lee Connolly. It was commissioned by Owen Courtney for BBC Music.Penny Lane Entertainment was set up in 2019 as a joint venture with leading UK independent producer Spun Gold TV. The company was founded by Lee Connolly, former Creative Director for ITV Studios, where he oversaw a slate including over 50 music and entertainment specials and won numerous awards including the BAFTA Best Live Event with Spun Gold for The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration and BAFTA Entertainment Craft Team Award for The Sound Of Music Live.
