Garden Studios has unveiled its four new sound stages, doubling its sound stage footprint to eight.
The studios now encompasses 98,000 sq. ft of stages, 90,000 sq ft of warehouse, 40,000 sq ft of production offices, and two large unit base lots over 30,000 sq ft each,.
Garden Studios has been home to a wide range of productions since it opened in early 2021. From limited set builds for large productions such as “Argylle” and “Wonka”, to hosting the entire production team and sets for Amazon’s “My Lady Jane”, “We Live in Time” from Canal+, and ITV’s relaunch of “Big Brother”; Garden’s client list spans features, indies, high-end TV, entertainment and budget projects, Netflix, Amazon Studios, Apple Studios, BBC Studios, Canal+, Initial TV, Working Title, and more.
Its new sound stages – Rose (15,207 sq ft), Orchid 1 (15,026 sq ft), Orchid 2 (12,863 sq ft), and Orchid 3 (7,187 sq ft) – give Garden Studios the ability to house multiple HETV projects and/or independent features at the same time. Garden says that several medium-sized stages differentiates it from other large sound stage campuses with bigger stages that are further from the centre of London.
“Garden’s growth in the last six months alone has attracted new clients seeking versality, flexibility and high degrees of client service. Not to mention, our commitment to sustainability for ourselves and all clients, as well as the permanent VP stage that helps to simplify complex location shoots, reduce risk, and offers production innovation,” says Bee Devine, Garden Studios’ Chief Operating Officer.
The Rose Campus officially starts operating from March 2025. With canal views from the offices and talent rooms, Rose also features two galleries suited for entertainment shows. Orchid stages will host a high-end TV drama from late summer through 2026.
Garden Studios permanent LED wall has recently increased to 20 m wide to 5 m tall – “making it the optimal size for a wide range of shoots, in particular car sequences.” Garden Studios has now worked on 120 VP productions across commercials, promos, music videos, HETV and film.
