Production company, Fulwell 73 is rumoured to be in merger talks with basketball star LeBron James’ Springhill Entertainment, according to reports.

The story was published in business publication Bloomberg.

The Springhill Company was founded in 2020 by US basketball star, LeBron James and Maverick Carter and produces projects including Space Jam: A New Legacy , Rez Ball for Netflix, The Crossover for Disney+ and Shooting Stars for Paramount+

Fulwell73 is producer of The Kardashians as well as sports docs including Sunderland Til I Die and music docs including Ed Sheeran: The Sum of it All as well as events including Adele: One Night Only and Friends: The Reunion.

Fulwell 73 was founded by Gabe Turner, Ben Turner, Leo Pearlman and Ben Winston with the Late Late Show presenter James Corden also a partner in the business.

Fulwell73 is also one of the partners in the planned Crown Works Studios in Sunderland, recently given backing in Chancellor Rachel Reeves’ first budget.
