Fremantle has appointed Lydia Goomansingh as SVP Commercial, Global Branded Entertainment, reporting to Roberta Zamboni, Global Head of Branded Content & Sponsorship effective immediately.

In the newly created role, Goomansingh will focus on strengthening Fremantle’s global branded entertainment capabilities and scope – scaling commercial opportunities; expanding Fremantle’s international client network with major global brands, agencies and media partners; as well as building a proactive pipeline across Fremantle’s IP portfolio – spanning unscripted, scripted, digital & social, and experiential – to international scale.

She joins Fremantle with experience from Paramount where she served as Senior Director of Commercial Content leading the strategic international brand integrations and multi-market campaigns to create and curate content opportunities to drive revenue across Paramount’s global portfolio of brands and products. Prior to this she has held senior roles at BBC Studios, The Walt Disney Company and Sky.

Gabriella Carriere, Group Head of Strategy and New Business, Fremantle said: “We are delighted to welcome Lydia in this newly created role.  Her career experience in the media industry brings deep expertise in branded entertainment, and extensive experience in collaborating with leading global agencies and clients.  The appointment of Lydia to Fremantle’s New Business area reflects our strong commitment to this key growth engine and underlines our ambition to operate in an increasingly integrated, international and IP-led way. The global branded team, our producers, labels and I look forward to working with her.”

Lydia Goomansingh, SVP Commercial, Global Branded Content & Sponsorship said: “I am thrilled to be joining Fremantle at such an exciting time. Their enviable roster of hits across multiple genres connects with audiences globally and I cannot wait to work with Gabriella, Roberta and the wider team to develop meaningful commercial opportunities across the slate.”

Fremantle recently announced the launch of its New Business area, overseen by Gabriella Carriere, focussing on unlocking and monetising Fremantle’s IP across all monetisation avenues – including branded entertainment, partnerships, digital, experiential and ancillary revenue streams, working holistically across the business.
