Virtual Production specialist Final Pixel is launching Worldbuilders, an expanded Virtual Art Department that specialises in optimised and photorealistic realtime environment creation for Virtual Production.
The team deploys emerging technologies for asset creation – including the latest in realtime world creation and a team of 3D scenic artists.
Chris Bouchard has been brought in as VP Supervisor in the UK to bolster the team, with his remit to put his extensive experience in both on-location filmmaking, art direction and as a VFX technologist into growing the team of Worldbuilders.
Bouchard will also lead on-set teams. His experience spans many Virtual Production projects for major studios such as ILM and Lux Machina, including on the Brain Bar for Ant Man & The Wasp Quantumania and supporting the VP teams running shows including Barbie, Hijacked, The Mandalorian 3, The Batman, and The Creator (2023).
