Trade association EVCOM has launched a new programme of events for the rest of the year including a new format for the Evcom Awards and the return of the Clarions.
The new programme also includes the EVCOMference, which brings together members for a day of thought leadership and industry insight, as well as the Fellowship awards, again to be held at the House of Lords, to recognise individuals who have really made a difference in the world of communication.
The large events will also be supported with a range of educational and networking events.
“EVCOM is committed to making its members more successful,” says EVCOM CEO, Jenny Jenkins. “It is the only trade association that brings together corporate members, agencies, production companies, suppliers, destinations and freelances across a multichannel community,” she continues. “Our programme of events is unrivalled, with something for everyone.”
Evcom has also announced that Rachel Pendered, chairperson of EVCOM, has resigned from the post, due to family commitments. Pendered became chair in July 2018 and has overseen the creation of a new strategy for the association.
“It’s so sad Rachel has had to stand down,” says Jenny Jenkins, EVCOM CEO. “However, we understand her family comes first. Rachel worked so hard in introducing new ideas and member benefits,” Jenny adds. “We thank her for all her hard work and wish her well.”
Jenkins, whose contract was due to run out at the end of March, will now remain in post until after the annual general meeting (AGM) in July.
Nominations for the new board open in May and will be voted at the AGM.
