Electric Theatre Collective has added Alex Winker to its colour roster and Ed Christie has joined as Lead Motion Designer.
Colourist Alex Winker has joined for UK and US representation. As a freelancer, he has graded across film, commercials and music promos on projects for Meta, Apple, Corona and Nike, as well as artists including Becky G and Jack Harlow.
Winker said: “I’m looking forward to bringing my clients into a space where they have a higher level of output than I can provide alone. I love diving into Director and DP worlds and helping establish a visual tone — and I can’t wait to push that in my new residence at ETC.”
Director of Colour, Luke Morrison, adds: “Alex’s arrival enhances what is already an impressive roster. His background in long-form is evident in his cinematic approach to light and tone and his love for the craft is inspiring. Welcome to the team, Alex.”
Electric Theatre Collective has also scaled up its motion offering. Lead Motion Designer Ed Christie joins, migrating fifteen years of design and animation acumen to his new home on Brick Lane. His new role will comprise creative direction, design and animation.
Over the past three years, he has been working freelance with directors including Glenn Kitson, Dan Emmerson and Mackenzie Sheppard. He started out at MPC later making the jump agency-side, joining Adam&EveDDB, working his way up to Head of Motion Design during their Agency-of-the-Decade years. He worked on (and won) hundreds of pitches, and turned his hand to iconic campaigns, like El Tornado for FIFA and multiple John Lewis Christmas campaigns.
He said: “I always admired ETC’s work from afar, so what better team to join full time?! I’m a big believer in knowing the rules, so you know how to break them. I’m looking forward to doing that with this incredible team I’ve now joined.”
Ben Honour, Managing Director of the design team, adds: “Ed is a real breath of fresh air. Talented, experienced, and still wildly passionate. His energy is perfect for the studio as we continue to tap into new and diverse opportunities, and his personality is going to be a great fit.”
