Electric Theatre Collective’s new New York City studio has added Electric alumnus Houmam Abdallah as Colourist.

Houmam initially cut his teeth directing music videos for Riff Raff and Black Dog. He spent the following fifteen years forging a career in London and Los Angeles, working in the grading suite alongside directorial talent including Sing J. Lee, Jason Bergh, Courtney Phillips, Ibra Ake and Jonas Lindestroem. During stints at The Mill, MPC LA, Milk Studios and Electric, he has built a portfolio for brands such as Nike, adidas, YSL, Louis Vuitton, McLaren and Audi.

Abdallah lists Sundance-winning ‘The Accidental Getaway Driver’ by Sing J. Lee as a particular career highlight. “From crafting the LUTs to delivering the DCP, it was a labor of love. For me, that’s more meaningful than the trophy.” Of his new role, he adds: “If London was my high school, LA was my graduation. New York feels like the next adventure, with all the comforts and familiarity of Electric’s relentless energy. I’m more focused than ever, and can’t wait to work with the very best talent, growing within my craft.”

Head of Colour, Luke Morrison, said, “Houmam’s passion and dedication to the craft is second to none. I know our stateside clients will be enamoured by his talent. We’re all excited to be welcoming him back!”
