Prime Video has commissioned Entertainment One for a six-part observational documentary series, Married to the Game, offering unprecedented access to the lives of the wives and girlfriends of Premier League footballers during the summer break and the transfer window.
The docuseries will launch in 2024.
With access to their home lives over the course of the summer months, Married to the Game will allow viewers to witness first-hand the unique lives these high-profile couples lead. As one season comes to a close, the new transfer window swings open and with it comes major life changes.
Executive producer for eOne, Rachael Parker, said, “Married to the Game is a series with warmth and humour at its heart, offering a surprising and intimate look behind closed doors at the women who share their lives with some of the world’s most celebrated international footballers.”
Married to the Game is produced by Entertainment One (Ex on the Beach, The Yorkshire Vet). The executive producers for Entertainment One are Rachael Parker and Tom Richardson. The series producer and director for Entertainment One is Jarek Rozenfeld.
