Netflix has ordered new 8-part docu-series, Toughest Forces on Earth, from Emporium Productions, the indie behind Netflix’s ‘Inside The World’s Toughest Prisons’).

Premiering next month, the series sees three former Special Operations Soldiers travel the world on a mission: to go deep inside the most elite and secretive military units on the planet. “Will the hosts,  former US Army Ranger Cameron Fath, British Special Forces operator Dean Stott and US Navy Seal Ryan Bates have what it takes to fight alongside the toughest forces on earth?

The series was commissioned for Netflix by Mollie Block (Unscripted Series) and Todd Hurvitz (Nonfiction Series).

Emma Read, Managing Director and Founder of Emporium Productions said: “Toughest Forces On Earth breaks the genre mould with exhilarating, raucous adventures everywhere from the desert to the arctic, and the jungle to the sea. I am extremely proud to have worked with an unprecedented 8 elite forces around the world on this ambitious series and to be introducing 3 exciting new hosts.”

The trio will find out what it takes to operate at the highest level alongside 8 different elite forces across the world in very different environments:

Each episode sees hosts Cameron, Dean & Ryan live and train with each of the units, learning how they operate in often extreme environments: from learning to survive in the arctic, attacking a terrorist camp in the desert, rescuing hostages in the swamps, and taking back a ship from pirates. Our hosts get to grips with the forces’ weapons, kit and tactics as well as very different rules of the game before carrying out a final military mission alongside their new brothers in arms.

Toughest Forces On Earth is produced for Netflix by Emporium Productions. The executive producer is Emma Read. The showrunner is Tim Pritchard. The line producer is Peter Guest, and director of production is Kathy Hale.
