Media storage and server systems outfit, Elements, is launching what it calls the “first remote access solution purpose built for media artists”, ELEMENTS Satellite.

Elements CEO André Kamps said, “Due to the immense demand for high-bandwidth and low-latency, video post-production is often too challenging for traditional remote access tools. With ELEMENTS Satellite we’re introducing the first remote access solution purpose built for the media entertainment industry. Now, editing can be done with superb- quality from anywhere in the world – without any restrictions.”

ELEMENTS Satellite merges technology originally developed for remote gaming by PARSEC, with low- latency demanding media workflows. The remote editing solution eliminates unstable playback and low framerate, offering a high level of responsiveness instead of the lag and stutter normally associated with working remotely. Editing 4K 60FPS video is made possible from anywhere with a “fluid and responsive” experience, high video quality and in-sync audio.

With the lightweight ELEMENTS Client App, encrypted connections can be managed and initiated with a single click on both Windows and macOS and security is ensured with full control of all access permissions available centrally, including two-factor authentication and full end-to-end encryption using the ELEMENTS based connection broker.

ELEMENTS Satellite is equally suitable for less performance-critical tasks like exporting, ingesting and workstation management.
