Doghouse Post Production’s, Sarah Miller MD and Fred Tay CD, have secured a management buyout of the company as CEO Jules Barton Hill steps down after 18 years.

Based in Bristol, Doghouse Post offers Picture Finishing, Dubbing, Offline and Visual Effects to clients including BBC Studios, Wildstar, Uplands TV, OneTribe and Hungry Gap.

It has seen steady growth in capacity and high-end output over the last 9 years after Miller joined from Big Bang Post and developed the Natural History and Long Form Factual output. Fred Tay will retain his Creative Director position and continue to be hands on within the picture finishing and VFX teams.

Barton Hill said ”After 18 fantastic years at Doghouse I have the opportunity to seek new business interests and have taken the decision to step down as Owner/CEO. I am very happy that Fred and Sarah take the company onto its next chapter; their talent, drive and passion for the industry shines through in everything they do. I wish them and the Doghouse Team all the very best for the future”.

Miller said: “We are excited to be taking control of the company at such a key moment for production in Bristol, our long-standing reputation and experience in our specialist fields will continue to grow along with our clients’ ambitions. We were keen to keep the continuity for both our staff and clients alike and continue to support our amazingly talented team.  We will be sad to see Jules go but support his wishes to move onto new ventures”.
