Independent picture post production company, Dirty Looks has appointed Jack Jones as Head of Imaging & Technical Solutions.

Jones has worked as a colourist on music promos for Adele and Netflix’s feature documentary 14 Peaks: Nothing is Impossible. He also co-owned the full-service post production facility Roundtable Post, where he oversaw pipeline development and remote workflows.

In his new role at Dirty Looks, Jones will lead on colour science, custom tools (both for in-house teams and clients), the automation of workflows and deep integration of IT systems.

This comes at a pivotal time for Dirty Looks, following its recent studio expansion and relocation to Maple Place in Fitzrovia.

A key part of his remit will be to broaden the company’s power management systems and help it transition to a full-heat recapture system. This project, which Dirty Looks has been exploring with sustainable tech company Deep Green, will allow heat from servers to be transferred to community heating projects.

Tom Balkwill, Managing Director of Dirty Looks, added: “Jack is deeply rooted in independent film, just like Dirty Looks, and I am thrilled he is joining us to help lead the next phase of our strategic development.”
