Digital Orchard Group has promoted Olivia Fitzsimons’ to Commercial Director.
Fitzsimons most recently led the Orchard Onset department as Head of Bookings, overseeing a diverse network of more than 60 freelance Digital Imaging Technicians, Data Managers, and Video Playback Operators.
In 2024, she launched Digital Orchard’s Access: Trainee Scheme, an initiative dedicated to training the next generation of DITs and Video Playback Operators, while fostering greater accessibility and inclusion within the industry.
In her new role as Commercial Director, Fitzsimons will continue working closely with onset teams while taking on a broader strategic focus. She will lead Digital Orchard’s overall growth strategy, by aligning sales, marketing, and business development teams, representing the company at industry events and showcasing its services.
Commenting on her appointment, Olivia Fitzsimons said: “I’m incredibly proud to be stepping into this new role. Over the past few years, I’ve built strong partnerships with production teams, implementing efficient, budget-conscious on-set workflows while overseeing Orchard Onset’s talent agency. This has involved aligning specialist skill sets with production and cinematographer’s needs, and positioning our technical talent strategically within the wider market.
“I’m excited to bring that operational and commercial experience into a broader strategic focus. With visibility across all of our departments – Orchard Film, Orchard Dailies, Orchard Rental, Orchard Onset and Orchard Crew, we can further integrate our services, strengthen our market position and deliver a truly cohesive offering for our clients. As I mark five years with the company, I’m excited to contribute to its next phase of growth’.
Callum Just, CEO and Founder of Digital Orchard added: “Olivia has been such a driving force at Digital Orchard over the past five years. Her dedication, talent, and ability to bring people together make her the perfect fit for Commercial Director, and we’re excited to see her take on this next chapter.”
