Creative Outpost has hired three senior creatives from Tag Collective Arts.

Colourist Mark Horrobin is joining Creative Outpost alongside Flame artist Tim Davies and Producer Andy Salem. All three have worked with Creative Outpost’s co-founders Quentin Olszewski (Q) and Danny Etherington previously.

Mark Horrobin began his career following in the footsteps of Q and Danny as a runner, before moving into grading in 1998. He also worked with Q in 2010 implementing a pioneering remote grading pipeline, over a mobile phone network that was a world first.

“It’s a great opportunity to work with people I know and like, and to build something meaningful,” says Horrobin.  “I’m looking forward to having more of an input into strategy,  how we grow the department and secure the high-end work.”

Tim Davies joins Creative Outpost as Senior Flame/VFX Artist. He says: “As an independent, Creative Outpost are really in control of their future,” says Tim. “This was a major attraction to me. It’s great for everyone, there’s no middle management which makes it far easier to get decisions made, allowing more time to focus on the creative work in hand.”

Senior Producer, Andy Salem, says: “I’m looking forward to being with a company that wants to grow in a considered way,” say Andy, “not trying to take over the world but rather to become an even more respected post production house in London.”

Combined, the new team members have a wealth of experience across all media platforms and will play a major role in growing the existing commercial, TV and film work, as well as expanding its longform and episodic offering.

Co-founders, Q and Danny Etherington commented: ‘We have big plans for these guys. We want to continue our expansion in such a way that we retain our ethos and principles of putting the client and our team first. And that is only possible when you have a trusted team working alongside you.”

“Ramping up our senior team hits at the perfect time as we expand on the Picture side of our business but also in the nurturing and mentoring of our younger talent coming through, an essential part of our strategy for growth. Having that history already with Mark, Tim and Andy, means the merging of teams will be instant and seamless”.
