Televisual’s 2021 Commercials 30 survey has now been published in the Spring edition of Televisual Magazine.


This year, because of the unprecedented events of the past twelve moths, we’ve done things a little differently. The overall 30 has not been ranked but is instead a showcase of the top commercials producers in the UK.

However, the survey still asks all the companies involved for their votes on the best rival production companies, directors, ads, post houses, agencies and operators of the past year.

This year, Pulse Films and Riff Raff tied as the most admired production companies among their peers with Academy in third spot and Somesuch in fourth.

The commercials producers voted Riff Raff’s Megaforce-directed Festive Christmas spot for Burberry as the best commercial of the year.

Ian Pons Jewell was voted the best director for the second year in a row.

Time Based Arts rose to first position in the poll of commercials producers’ highest rated post houses with The Mill retaining its position as the post house used most by ad producers.

adam&eveDDB was voted best agency for another year with Joe Guest at Final Cut again voted best editor and MPC’s Jean-Clement Soret again crowned best colourist.
