Independent creative studio Coffee & TV has made two senior appointments to strengthen the company’s production capabilities and broaden the scope of its services.

Lisa Green joins Coffee & TV as Managing Partner, having previously been co-founder and Managing Director of Channel 4’s 4Creative and Karamarama’s production arm, Kream.

Dan Keefe, co-founder of BBH’s Black Sheep Studios, comes on board as Executive Producer.

In addition to Coffee & TV’s well-established visual effects, animation, design and colour grading heritage, Lisa and Dan aim to expand the studio’s ability to deliver conception, direction and production across live action and animated projects, from traditional campaigns through to modern forms of storytelling.

Derek Moore, CEO & Co-Founder of Coffee & TV said: “It’s a privilege to welcome someone of Lisa’s calibre and experience to Coffee & TV as we take the next evolutionary step and further expand our creative offering. She has been an incredible support and powerful voice since she joined our board as a non-executive director in 2019, so we’re excited that she will now play a major strategic role within the day-to-day business. We’re confident that hiring two influential individuals like Lisa and Dan from the production world will allow Coffee & TV to explore lots of new opportunities.”

Lisa Green, Managing Partner at Coffee & TV added: “I have loved being part of the Coffee & TV board and working with the founders to establish the next phase of their business. At 8 years old, Coffee & TV is at a really exciting and crucial time. They know who they are, they have gathered some serious talent and created an inspiring company culture that transcends through to the clients. The team is really focused on how best to deliver the diversity of creative solutions that clients need from their production partners now.”

Dan Keefe, Executive Producer at Coffee & TV said: “I was attracted to Coffee & TV after I spoke to the founders because of their humanistic approach to growth and the fact that they hold themselves completely accountable to their values. Those foundations really set them apart within the industry, so it was an easy decision to come on board. There’s a huge amount of ambition and creative talent at Coffee & TV so I’m looking forward to developing the business.”

Green started her career producing idents, trailers and channel branding for the likes of MTV, Channel 4 and FilmFour, and she went on to set up Channel 4’s award winning in-house creative agency 4Creative in 2001. She has also served as Director of Creative Output at Fallon. In 2010, she co-founded Kream, a Branded Content and TV Commercials production agency, in a joint venture with advertising agency Karmarama.

Keefe is an Executive Producer with over a decade’s experience in advertising and film production. After 5 years developing Mother’s in-house production capabilities he co-founded Black Sheep Studios at BBH in 2015, spearheading the evolution of creative production within agencies. He has executively produced scores of commercials, branded content pieces, documentaries, short films and music videos. In 2016 Black Sheep Studios won the BAFTA for Best British Short Film for ‘Home’.

The appointment of Lisa Green and Dan Keefe is the latest announcement after a raft of new hires at Coffee & TV. Last month the studio revealed Leonie Moreton was promoted to MD and four new artists were recruited across multiple departments.
