VFX and feature animation studio Cinesite has been named among the leading growth companies as part of The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 league table for 2018.
Cinesite appeared at number 36 in the list, which ranks the UK’s highest performing private firms by international growth.
The list recognises companies based on their overseas sales in the preceding two-year period. In that time, Cinesite achieved international sales of over £36.1M and overall sales of £43.9M in 2017.
Antony Hunt, Chief Executive Officer of Cinesite, commented “I am delighted that our hard-working teams have been recognised for their achievements in helping realise Cinesite’s ambition to become one of the world’s leading independent VFX and feature animation studios. We will continue to innovate and deliver high quality films to entertain audiences world-wide.”
Cinesite group Executive Chairman, Peter Nagle added: “Gaining our first placing in this prestigious table is testament to our successful performance with a number of high-profile client projects. We have made a substantial investment in expanding Cinesite’s overseas operations and we see great potential for further carefully managed growth.”
Upcoming and recent projects include Mary Poppins Returns, Robin Hood, Ant-Man & the Wasp, Avengers Infinity War, Game of Thrones, Adrift and Lost in Space.
Earlier this year Cinesite announced it had secured £70 million in funding from Pemberton to continue its acquisition-led growth strategy.
