Post houses Cherry Cherry and Polka Post have launched a new grading joint venture, Pop.

Polka colourists James Gilmore and Kenny Gibb will join the team at Cherry in their Goodge Place home, bringing a full Baselight grading suite with them.

Cherry Cherry will now be able to offer clients a full range of post services, from edit to delivery.

Kenny Gibb worked at MPC for 10 years before becoming Lead Colourist at Oktober post in New Zealand.  Back in London, he set up as a freelancer and has experience in both commercials and broadcast. Recent projects include Breitling, Estee Lauder, Google, Audi and Amazon’s ‘The Grand Tour’.

James Gilmore is a former Lead Editor and Colourist at Addiction Worldwide.  He went on to set up business as a small post facility to create a quality alternative to larger companies, focusing on a flexible, efficient service.

Cherry Cherry MD Ian Harland said: “I’ve known Kenny for over 20 years so this collaboration is as natural a fit as they come.   We’re all very excited at the prospect of having these talented guys here and bringing a fully equipped Baselight in-house so we can offer our clients a full complement of all aspects for any job they may need.”

Gibb said: “By joining forces, it will enable a full offering of grading, editing, 3D and high-end finishing in one building using a highly experienced team."

Gilmore added: “Creating this Joint Venture with Cherry Cherry allows both to expand and keeps us all agile, whilst maintaining an intimate service for our clients.”
