Channel 5 greenlit Susan Calman’s Big Seaside Holiday (w/t), with the 5 x 60’ series being produced by IWC, a Banijay UK company.
Gerard Costello will be serving as Executive Producer. The series was ordered by Channel 5 commissioning editor (VP) Factual Guy Davies.
The series is set to be stripped across five nights and will see Calman journeying round classic holiday hotspots as British Summer Time begins.
In each episode, Calman travels to a well-known British beach resort, immersing herself in all it has to offer and revealing all the special highlights that make it a must-visit destination.
She’ll be taking in the sea air and stunning coastal scenery in each location, and will sample the food, meet the locals, and try out experiences unique to the seaside town. Each of her trips will also feature a look at a stalwart of the British seaside – the Bed & Breakfast.
There’ll be some special celebrity guests joining her too including Linda Robson, Joe Pasquale, Kevin Clifton, Zoe Lyons and Gyles Brandreth
