ITV has confirmed that a deal has been struck between Britbox and Viacom-owned Channel 5 and Comedy Central which will see hundreds of additional hours of both channels’ best British content available on Britbox from launch.

The deal brings factual and entertainment content from Channel 5 plus original British comedies from Comedy Central UK.
 
Under the deal, box-sets from Channel 5 can appear on BritBox following a 30 day catch-up window on the My5 service.
 
This adds to the line-up of content expected on the service including Victoria, Happy Valley, Broadchurch, Les Miserables, Downton Abbey, Love Island, Famalam, Cleaning Up, Gentleman Jack, Gavin & Stacey, The Office and Benidorm which will be on the service at launch or come onto the service shortly after when licences with other SVODs end.

BritBox will be available for £5.99 per month in HD and across multiple screens and devices.
