Cardiff Productions has promoted Becky Nunn to be the company’s first executive producer, as the fledgling indie grows its business.

Launched in 2020, the Welsh indie has secured commissions and development from UK broadcasters Channel 4, BBC Two, S4C and BBC Wales, as well as BET and National Geographic internationally. The company is currently in production with Tan France’s first British show, Beauty and the Bleach, for BBC Two; Remarkable Rivers with Richard Hammond for Channel 4; and We are Black and British, soon to air on BBC Two.

Narinder Minhas, Managing Director, Cardiff Productions, says: “The company’s rapid growth is prompting us to strengthen our senior creative team to ensure we fulfil our creative ambitions and continue this trajectory.”

Nunn has over 20 years’ production experience, including Cardiff Productions’ BBC format, Take a Hike (pictured), which she helped develop from its S4C sister series, Am Dro!. She has worked with a range of companies including Plimsoll Productions, Spun Gold West and Icon, as well as Ricochet where she worked on brands like Supernanny, Cowboy Builders and Food Unwrapped.

Cardiff’s credits includesHow to Make Hip Hop Millions (Channel 4); Whites vs Blacks: How Football Changed a Nation (BBC Two); Crisis on Apollo 13 (Curiosity); and Apollo’s Daring Mission (PBS Nova).
