Along with the new full frame version of the C700, Canon has launched  two professional 12G-SDI capable 4K HDR reference displays and a new cine prime lens.

The two displays are the DP-V2421 and DP-V1711.

The DP-V2421 is a 24-inch 4K HDR reference display which achieves 1,200 cd/m2 high luminance and the deep black suitable for applications in 4K HDR production.

The DP-V1711 is a 17-inch 4K professional display for studio monitoring or outside broadcast vans. Both the DP-V2421 and DP-V1711 have extensive HDR functions. Both monitors feature four 12G-SDI inputs, which can deliver 4K 50P transmission through a single cable.

The DP-V2421 and DP-V1711 support Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) and Perceptual Quantization (PQ). Both monitors also support Canon’s proprietary Log gamma – Canon Log, Log 2 and Log 3.

Both monitors contain several features to check HDR images and to support effective HDR production, including an HDR capable waveform monitor, HDR capable false colour function and HDR Range Adjustment function. The DP-V2421 and DP-V1711 also provide a split screen function, which allows HDR images to be compared with false colour, or peaking, side-by-side. A HDR and SDR comparison is also available.

Canon has also announced the CN-E20mm T1.5 L F, a large format super-fast cine prime lens with EF mount.

The CN-E20mm T1.5 L F boasts a large diameter aspheric lens and low dispersion glass, eliminating spherical aberration and other optical phenomena. With a bright T No of 1.5, the CN-E20mm T1.5 L F captures 4K footage in low light. The CN-E20mm T1.5 L F’s bright T No and 11-blade iris produces natural blur effects, enabling a three-dimensional bokeh effect with a deeper depth of field.

It is compatible with the newly launched EOS C700 FF, as well as the EOS-1D C and other full frame cameras.

Canon CN-E20mm T1.5 LF Key Features
•    Super-fast 20mm 4K cine prime lens
•    118.4mm long and weighs just 1.2kg
•    T1.5 maximum aperture
