British talent and companies took four out 14 awards at the 52nd International Emmy Awards last night in New York City.

Awards were won by Timothy Spall for his performance in Wild Mercury and True Vision’s The Sixth Commandment while Story Films, Archface Films and Sky Documentaries’ Otto Baxter: Not a F***ing Horror Story was awarded the best documentary prize.

The Keanu Reeves-fronted Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story from North One and Disney+ picked up the prize for best sports documentary with the Kids Animation award going to Magic Light Pictures for their special, Tabby McTat.

“In these turbulent times, television is definitely an art form that brings people from around the world together – no matter their culture or language.” said International Academy President & CEO Bruce L. Paisner. “The International Academy is proud to recognize these outstanding programmes and performances.”
