Technicolor London has hired Matthew Bristowe to head its features production team.

He joins Technicolor from his Head of Production role at One of Us, where he led a team through two seasons of Netflix’s The Crown – he was also just nominated for a 2018 Emmy Award for his work producing the VFX for the second season – as well as films, including Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

His background in production includes nearly two decades of senior management positions, including six years at Prime Focus World, where he oversaw a team of 200 artists and production staff, working on VFX and  the stereoscopic conversion for feature films including, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Gravity.

Prior to Prime Focus, he helped establish a DI department at MPC Film and worked on films including 28 Days Later, Shaun of the Dead, Fantastic Mr Fox and Slumdog Millionaire.

Technicolor London’s recent feature film work includes, Paddington 2, Darkest Hour, You Were Never Really Here and the upcoming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
