Industry veterans Bob Benton and Hilary Strong have announced the re-organisation of the Bob & Co group of businesses and new production group, the Anthology Group.

The new group is the parent to Anthology Studios, which comprises six television and film production companies (two of them new scripted production businesses), a theatre production company and an established licensing company. Also part of the group is Anthology Advisory which will continue to advise on investment opportunities in theatre and other media platforms.

Founder, Bob Benton, and Group CEO, Hilary Strong, will be joined by Jeremy Mills in his new role as Chairman of Anthology Studios, which will initially focus on factual, comedy and drama production.

The two new drama indies are Rockfleet and Mischief Worldwide. Mischief Worldwide is a formation of Mischief Theatre, Kenny Wax Ltd and Stage Presence. The company has been set up to develop and exploit Mischief work both in the UK and internationally. The group’s first step has been to create a new television production company Mischief Screen. Mischief Worldwide will administer and license all rights in all media for existing and future projects created by the group; this will include shows from the Goes Wrong strand and other new works for stage and screen.

Scripted comedy/drama production company Rockfleet has been founded by former BBC comedy and drama producer Emma Smithwick and live comedy producer & director Phoebe Bourke. Rockfleet is in active discussions with UK, US and Irish commissioners for both long-form and short-form scripted shows.

The other Anthology companies are Donna Wiffen’s Duchess Street, Ghost Light Theatre Productions, Paul Wooding’s Spark TV, SUMS Film & Media run by Andy Brunskill, Kate Beal and former BBC Executive Derren Lawford’s Woodcut Media and brand licensing agency with a specific focus on children’s TV and art and design based properties Larkshead.
