Blackmagic Design has announced two new ‘affordable’ and portable hardware control panels for DaVinci Resolve.
The new DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel and the DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel feature three ‘exceptional quality’ high resolution trackballs, ‘precision machined’ control knobs and illuminated buttons. The small USB powered DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel retails for $995, while the larger but DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel with built in LCD screens is available for $2,995.
Blackmagic says the new panels are a response to the fact that Resolve is being used more and more as both an edit and colour correction program. The company says the panels are perfect for freelance colourists who need a small and durable panel to carry from job to job and system to system.
