Big Light Productions (Leonardo, The Man in the High Castle) has boarded the second season of hit thriller Devils as co-producers, alongside Sky Italia and Lux Vide in collaboration with Sky Studios, Orange Studio and OCS.
CEO of Big Light Productions Frank Spotnitz (The X-Files, Medici, Hunted) and Big Light Creative Director Emily Feller (Medici, Last Tango in Halifax) will serve as executive producers of the second series of the drama, which stars Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy, The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair) and Alessandro Borghi (Suburra: Blood on Rome).
Spotnitz, who acted as consulting producer on the first series, will also serve as lead writer alongside James Dormer (Strike Back, Medici), Naomi Gibney and Caroline Henry. The new episodes are directed by British director Nick Hurran (Sherlock, Doctor Who, Fortitude, Altered Carbon) and Jan Maria Michelini (I Medici, DOC- Nelle tue mani).
Devils, based on the best-selling book The Devils by Guido Maria Brera, tells the story of the silent but devastating war that affected the Western world in the last decade through fragments of reality and fictional characters. An underground war fought with the most powerful weapon: finance. Series one, which aired on Sky Atlantic in the UK, has sold in more than 160 territories globally, and is distributed by NBCUniversal Global Distribution on behalf of Sky Studios.

Devils is the latest co-production Big Light Productions has collaborated on with Lux Vide. The partnership has previously produced three series of the hit Rai and Netflix show Medici, and most recently, Leonardo, starring Aidan Turner, Matilda De Angelis, and Freddie Highmore, for Rai, France Télévisions, RTVE, Sony and Amazon UK.
