BBC3 has ordered a one part pilot of new game show Hush Money from All3Media’s Maverick Television.
Set across four individual chambers, a team of friends will take on a series of different challenges and will start the game with £5,000 in prize money.
In order to emerge victorious, they must endure a series of shocks, surprises and scares while completing a number of tasks. Each chamber will generate a new type of reaction from the teammates, from blood-curdling shrieks to yelps of joy. Every time any one of the group screams, the prize money will drop – how much they lose all depends on how MUCH they scream.
Simon Knight, CEO of Maverick Television, said; “Heart-stopping… thrilling… joyous… this show is irresistible for groups of friends who like to take on a challenge together. We can’t wait to put people’s nerves to the ultimate test.”
Rachel Ashdown, Commissioning Editor for the BBC said; “This is a fresh new format that sees friends face surprising challenges, but also have fun together and maybe even leave with some cash. Whatever happens they are guaranteed an experience to remember!”
Hush Money (1×45’) was commissioned by Kate Phillips, Controller, Entertainment Commissioning and Fiona Campbell, Controller, BBC Three. The Executive Producers for Maverick Television are Matt Cox and Simon Knight. The Commissioning Editor for the BBC is Rachel Ashdown.
Transmission information will be announced in due course.
