BBC Three comedy show Famalam is to return for a third series and a one-off Christmas special which will feature new sketches as well as favourite moments from the past two series.
 
Originally debuting as a New on Two comedy pilot, Famalam went on to be commissioned for a full series, which aired in April 2018 on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer with a slot on BBC Two.  Series two has just finished its run on BBC One.
 
Shane Allen, Controller of Comedy Commissioning, said: “Famalam goes from strength to strength in keeping the modern day sketch show flag flying high with its super-talented cast, pin sharp social commentary and ideas that poke fun in all directions.”
 
Akemnji Ndifornyen, producer, said: “Going for a three-peat! Excited to bring this beast back for another side splitting run! Third time’s the charm!”
 
Famalam series three and the Christmas special have been commissioned by Shane Allen, Controller of Comedy Commissioning and Fiona Campbell, Controller, BBC Three.  Famalam is a BBC Studios production, produced by Akemnji Ndifornyen, directed by Tom Marshall and executive produced by Ben Caudwell. The commissioning editors for the BBC are Sarah Asante and Gregor Sharp.
