BBC Two has ordered a second four-part series of The Many Faces of… from Green Inc, to air later this year.

The contemporary entertainment archive series was commissioned by Janice Hadlow, controller BBC Two, Alan Tyler, executive editor Entertainment Commissioning and Mark Linsey, controller Entertainment Commissioning.

The series traces the story of some of the best loved faces in British entertainment, charting their career, using rare archive and testimony from friends and colleagues.

Alan Tyler says, “The Many Faces of… is a powerful, smart, biography brand which manages to be both entertaining and revealing. We are delighted to be bringing the series back to BBC Two viewers. Green Inc has lined up some fantastic names and surprising stories.”

Stephen Stewart, managing director of Green Inc, adds, “The Many Faces of… is one of our favourite projects. These programmes are always warmly received by all who watch them. The careers of these giants of British entertainment are always surprising, and some of their early footage is fascinating.”

As with past episodes the shows will be produced jointly from Green Inc’s Northern Ireland and Scottish bases with Charlie Stuart as producer/director, Deborah Bennett as assistant producer, and will be executive produced by Stephen Stewart for Green Inc. and Alan Tyler for the BBC.
