Long-serving BBC Children’s producer, Mel Taylor, has left the corporation to set up new indie, See You There Studios.
Taylor, who will take the role of Creative Director in her new venture, has spent over 20 years at the BBC working on shows including Blue Peter while being International Emmy nominated for Newsround special doc, Let’s Talk About Periods.
In a LinkedIn post, she said: “I leave the BBC bursting with knowledge, experience, skills and passion and I’m VERY excited (and mildly terrified) to be launching my own company – See You There Studios – later this year.”
