The BBC has acquired all nine seasons of the hit American legal drama Suits in a deal with NBCUniversal.

The deal also includes mockumentary St. Denis Medical and the series continuation of the hit Best Man films, The Best Man: The Final Chapters, for BBC iPlayer and TV channels.

Sue Deeks, Head of BBC Programme Acquisition, says: “This is a really exciting and enjoyable trio of star-studded series: the hotly-anticipated comedy, St. Denis Medical, the sassy, romantic comedy-drama, The Best Man: The Final Chapters, and the smart and stylish legal drama, Suits. We couldn’t be more delighted to bring them all to BBC viewers.”

Suits (134 x 45) is produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group. The series is created and executive produced by Aaron Korsh. Doug Liman, David Bartis and Gene Klein of Hypnotic also serve as executive producers.

St. Denis Medical (13 x 30) is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group. The series is written and executive produced by Justin Spitzer and Eric Ledgin with Simon Heuer also executive producing. Ruben Fleischer serves as director and executive producer on the pilot.

The Best Man: The Final Chapters (8 x 60) is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group. The series is executive produced by Malcolm D. Lee, Dayna Lynne North, Dominique Telson and Sean Daniel.
