Avanti Media, the London and Cardiff-based indie, has hired Films of Record Managing Director, Neil Grant, as Creative Director.
 
Grant, who takes up the post in January 2017, will join the senior management team at Avanti.

Alongside Emyr and Mair Afan, Avanti’s co-founders, Neil’s brief will be to grow the company’s factual, features and current affairs content.
 
Grant most recently executive produced Channel 4’s The Murder Detectives, which won the 2016 BAFTA for Best Factual Series.  

Prior to Films of Record, he was an executive producer at Mentorn Media for six years following 17 years at the BBC in production roles including producer/director, series producer and executive producer for documentaries and current affairs.
 
Avanti Media recent credits include: Sky 1’s Ryder Cup Opening Concert, Jonathan & Charlotte documentary for ITV, Jamie Baulch: Looking For My Birth Mum (BBC1), Bear Grylls Songs of Praise Special and most recently the Channel 4 documentary Britain’s Billionaire Immigrants. Avanti are currently in production with Model Mechanic for Sony Pictures/S4C.
