Arrow Media has been commissioned to make 26 hours of true crime for US Investigation Discovery.

The commission includes a new six-part series Love, Honor, Betray. This real-footage led series explores stories of betrayal by husbands and wives. They include a wife who hires a hitman to kill her husband for his money, a conman who cheats his wife out of $227,000, and a husband who secretly becomes a serial bank robber.

Love, Honor, Betray will premiere on November 4 on Investigation Discovery and will be available to stream on discovery+.

Ash Potterton, Executive Producer, Arrow Media, says: “By combining first-hand testimony from victims with archive footage from their wedding and happier times, we are able to build a full picture of the crime and tell deeply emotional stories of how they were betrayed.”

The commission also sees Arrow Media making 20 more hours of its hit series American Monster. This takes the crime brand into its seventh series. The new season premieres on Investigation Discovery and will also be available to stream on discovery+.

Nick Metcalfe, Executive Producer, Arrow Media, (pictured) added: “The key to the enduring success of American Monster has always been the never-before-seen footage that the team work tirelessly to acquire to give viewers the inside track on the tragic crimes committed and a unique insight into those who commit them.”

American Monster (20 x 60 mins) goes beyond the scene of the crime and directly into the lives of some of America’s most shocking murderers, using rarely-seen home movie footage.

The order sees Arrow Media grow its portfolio of returning series with ID – a range that includes hit series See No Evil, which has now run for over one hundred episodes, and Body Cam which is in its fourth series. This along with Arrow Media’s feature-length documentary brand Mind of a Monster, which includes companion podcasts.

American Monster is Executive Produced by Nick Metcalfe and Tom Brisley for Arrow Media and Executive Produced by Tim Baney for ID. Love, Honor, Betray is Executive Produced by Ash Potterton and Tom Brisley for Arrow Media and was Executive Produced by Diana Sperrazza for ID.
