All3Media has appointed Hannah Griffiths as its new Head of Literary Acquisitions.

The newly created position is mark of how competition has intensified among TV producers to option new books amid a surge in drama production.

Griffiths will join All3Media in September having spent 13 years career at Faber and Faber with her most recent role being Fiction and Paperbacks Publisher.

Griffiths is charged with seeking the best new manuscripts and books, both fiction and non-fiction, for the production companies within the All3Media group to option and develop into new series. Based at All3Media HQ Griffths will act as a central talent resource across the bu+iness reporting directly to All3Media COO, Sara Geater.

Griffiths has worked with writers such as Eimear McBride, Barbara Kingsolver, Kazuo Ishiguro, John Lanchester, Stewart Lee and Louise Doughty as well as overseeing the launch of the crime and thriller list Prior to Faber and Faber Griffiths worked as a book agent at Curtis Brow.

Sara Geater, All3Media Chief Operating Officer said: “Creative talent is at the heart of All3Media and in this new role, with her proven success in acquiring prize winning writers and delivering quality content for a wide audience, Hannah will prove a highly valuable asset to the group.”

All3’s stable of drama indies include Bentley, Company Pictures, Neal Street Productions and New Pictures.
