Absolute has announced the promotion of Tom Keeler as Chief Operating Officer – a newly created role for the Soho-based post-production studio.

In his new role as COO, Keeler will “analyse creative, financial and strategic metrics across all areas of the business to better inform decision making.”

Having previously worked at Moore Kingston Smith, Keeler has been a part of the team at Absolute for over two years, playing an integral role in analysing the inner workings of the business.

Keeler comments, “This is a fantastic opportunity for me to help build on the success that Absolute has achieved over the past 16 years. From the day I joined and swapped tax returns for being surrounded by VFX, I have been incredibly proud to work for Absolute and I look forward to helping assess the best practices for moving forward as a business.

“We have some ambitious goals and objectives for 2021 and beyond, pushing forward in the areas of creativity, technology, client service and talent development, but we also have a fantastically talented, dedicated team to get us there and I know it’s going to be an exciting year.”

Founder and CEO, Dave Smith, adds, “During his time at Absolute, Tom has developed an extensive knowledge – not only of the industry – but of the core values at the very heart of Absolute. Growth is much more than just crunching numbers and Tom completely embodies that. I’m excited to watch his continued contribution to Absolute’s success.”
