Amazon Prime Video is making a new competition series with 72 Films, 007’s Road to a Million.

First reported in Variety, the race around the world format will see contestants competing for $1m, featuring historic Bond locations and answering questions hidden around the world.

Franchise producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson will produce the James Bond competition series alongside 72 Films and MGM Television. Dan Grabiner is head of UK Originals for Amazon Studios.

David Glover, ceo of 72 Films, said he “first had this idea over three years ago. Dan Grabiner and the UK Originals team took it to a whole other level. To be working with Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli and the Bond franchise is a privilege and a dream come true.”

Production on the eight-part series is set to begin later this year.
