Cherrington comes to 360Production from Warner-owned Renegade Pictures in an executive production role focusing on generating specialist factual and access ideas for BBC2, Channel 4 and BBC 4.
Her CV includes senior and executive positions at Lion TV, Films of Record, Mentorn Media, Tigress Productions and Tiger Aspect. Cherrington was also BAFTA nominated for her first directing role, which saw her make four episodes of the acclaimed BBC One series Hotel.
In 2011, Cherrington moved to the US, where she opened a development office for Mentorn Media in New York.
Cherrington said: “From documentary through to specialist factual formats, content-rich factual is becoming increasingly hybrid and broad. This is a real opportunity to inject emotion, process and event across the whole factual slate here at 360.’
360 Production’s Creative Director Ailsa Orr added: “Belinda is a business-winning executive producer with an amazing track record of developing and delivering successful primetime factual series. She joins at a time when 360 is poised to enter its next phase of growth, which includes popularising our factual slate as well and developing formats for the UK and international market.
London- and Northern Ireland-based 360Production is owned by the Rare TV group.
Rare, which was set up in 2014 by former Ingenious Ventures managing director Antony Fraser, acquired 360 Production in June 2014, followed by the acquisition of Screen Channel Television.
