STV Productions has appointed Josephine Brassey as Head of Development, Entertainment.

Brassey is currently Head of International Development at 12 Yard Productions, where she has overseen the international rollout of hit shows including Big Star’s Little Star, I’ll Get This and Think Tank. In the UK she has secured commissions for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, including the long-running BBC quiz Perfection.

Headed up by Gary Chippington, STV Productions’ Entertainment team has delivered successful entertainment shows, including game show Catchphrase for ITV and, most recently, relationship series Sex Tape for Channel 4.

The new appointment is part of a three-year growth plan, through which the business is investing £15m in content and digital.

STV Productions recently announced the appointment of Craig Hunter as Creative Director, Factual and Ramy El-Bergamy as Head of Development, Daytime & Popular Factual.

David Mortimer, Managing Director, STV Productions, said: “Josephine has a great track-record in developing hit entertainment programmes and I am delighted to welcome her to the team.  Entertainment will be a key focus for us as we pursue our goal of establishing STV Productions as a major industry player over the next few years.”
