Post house, OnSight, has made two senior promotions with Tony Maher appointed Business Development Director and Rik Tester made Operations Director. Both join OnSight’s Executive Board.
Maher has been with OnSight since 1997 and has played a pivotal role in developing the business across new and evolving sectors. His has helped shape the company’s sales approach and identified “meaningful opportunities for growth, particularly in the ever-changing media landscape.”
Tester joined in 2001 and brings with him a “deep technical and creative understanding of postproduction”. Over the years, he’s worked across engineering and post, and today he leads the operational teams, spanning creatives, technicians, and account managers, “to ensure seamless delivery of our high-end services.”
OnSight says the appointments come at a time of “renewed optimism. Despite a challenging period for the postproduction industry, largely due to the impact of the Hollywood writers’ and actors’ strikes, OnSight has remained active, agile, and committed to excellence.”
Recent highlights for OnSight include the IMAX release of Pink Floyd at Pompeii, produced by RM Productions in collaboration with Sony Music, and The Ballad of Wallace Island for Baby Cow Productions, Focus Features, and Bankside Films.
“Over the last two decades and through the ups and downs of the film and television industry, it has been a pleasure working with Tony and Rik,” said Simon Craddock, CEO of OnSight. “As a company, we are in a good place right now and so it feels like a great time for them to join the board – two promotions that are richly deserved. I look forward to growing the business with them in the coming years.”
