Sony Pictures Television-backed Eleventh Hour Films has optioned Chris Atkins’ prison diaries ‘A Bit Of A Stretch’, published today by Atlantic Books, for adaptation.
In 2016, documentary-maker Chris Atkins (Taking Liberties, Starsuckers, UKIP: The First 100 Days) was given a five year prison sentence after becoming embroiled in a dodgy tax scheme to fund a film. His new home was HMP Wandsworth, one of the oldest, largest, and most dysfunctional prisons in Europe.

The deal was brokered by Luke Speed on behalf of Gordon Wise at Curtis Brown Group.
